Upcoming Events

The shelter has many upcoming events as we approach the end of 2023. Attendance at these events is a perfect way to support the shelter animals and have some fun. Upcoming events include:

Fall Fest – October 8th, 2023 This yearly event includes a tours of the shelter, visits with animals waiting for forever homes, a bake sale, a fantastic lunch served by Tim O’Loughlin and Modern Woodmen for a free will donation to the shelter, children’s games and activities and pumpkins and other fall items for sale.

Oelwein Dollar Fresh Bake Sale – October 14, 2023 The shelter will hold a Bake Sale at the Oelwein Dollar Fresh from 9:00 – 1:00. Stop buy and pick up some great treats and support the shelter animals.

Oelwein Pizza Ranch Community Night – October 23rd, 2023 The shelter will be at the Oelwein Pizza Ranch from4:30 – 7:00 bussing tables for tips. A portion of all in house sales that night will go to the shelter

All Holiday Wreath Orders Due – October 25th, 2023 Contact the shelter to order your Holiday Greenery with deliver the 1st week of November.

Independence Pizza Ranch Community Night – November 8th, 2023 The shelter will be at the Independence Pizza Ranch from 4:30-7:00 bussing tables for tips. A portion of all in house sales that night will go to the shelter.

Christmas at Otter Creek – December 3rd, 2023 – The annual Holiday event will include a visits with Santa, children’s activities, a bake sale, wreath decorating contest with prizes, tours of the shelter and visits with adoptable animals, holiday refreshments, a our LARGE silent auction.
